5 Manifestation Exercises To Practice This Week
Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, has been making some very auspicious aspects to my chart this week, so I’ve been taking the opportunity to do some manifestation exercises. Some of these I created, others I’ve found through the manifestation community, but I find all of them to be incredibly effective. I like to practice manifestation in conjunction with positive transits to my birth chart, but these are all great tools to use whenever you’re feeling lucky or like you need a mindset shift. Ultimately, that’s what manifestation is: stepping into the shoes of the version of yourself that has accomplished whatever you’re looking for.
My Perfect Work Schedule
If you want your imagined life to become a reality, you have to be realistic about it. Your future self still has to set an alarm, eat, exercise, and pay their taxes; excluding these details from your manifestation keeps it in the dream world. By crafting your future self’s daily schedule, you get an idea of what life would really be like to live as that version of you. This puts into perspective what you may need to do to transform your current schedule into your dream schedule. It’s also a great way to determine whether you really want the life you’re manifesting or if it’s just a pretty fantasy.
Replacing If With When
One of my favorite ways to manifest is to eliminate any room for failure. Once I’ve decided I want something, I have to make sure I take down any road blocks that could get in my way, including my own self doubt. By changing my verbiage from “if” to “when,” I subconsciously destroy any consideration that my vision won’t manifest. It may not happen as I was expecting it to, but it will happen because I have faith.
Mundane Mood Boards
It’s all good fun to create Pinterest boards of your dream home or imagine a number in your bank account, but what about the simple stuff? I like to create mood boards of the details of my future life, like the foods I’d eat in my future life, the tiles I would choose for the bathroom in my dream house, the outfits I’d wear on a day to day basis. This helps me visualize the little things and really cultivate my vision so I don’t get lost in the mirage of desire.
Imagining Imperfections
Successful manifestation is all in the details. A dream is blurry and misshapen, but reality is sharp and vivid. Your manifestations have to become as clear as waking life for them to become a reality. Most of life is mundane, so if you want to make your manifestation as real as possible, you have to imagine what the simple things would be like. I like to visualize myself doing the dishes in my future home, driving to my dream job, getting my future children dressed to pick out a Christmas tree. I sometimes even imagine what my future self would get into arguments about, the bad habits she’s gotten into, and the mistakes she might make. My future self is human just like me. Even if she has what current me wants, she’s still not perfect.
Thanking My Future Self for Her Guidance
If time isn’t as linear as we perceive it to be, neither is our self concept. When we forgive our past self for the mistakes they made or feel compassion for the challenges they faced, we’re also encouraging them in real time to hold on tight and meet us in the future. I have reverence for my past self and all that she has overcome; don’t you think your Future Self holds that same reverence for the current you? If our past selves can hear us, we surely can hear our future selves. Take time to thank them for their guidance, wisdom, and courage to overcome the challenges you’re currently facing. Those hurdles may not seem so high afterwards.
